Two digital art exhibitions, blending new technologies and creativity, are being held at two venues in Nanshan District. ‘rhizomatiks_multiplex_2023’

The “rhizomatiks_multiplex_2023” exhibition introduces Japanese group Rhizomatiks’ projects integrating computing, coding and engineering technologies. Since its founding in 2006, Rhizomatiks has been creating various media art projects requiring research and development approaches and involving disciplines such as architecture, design, advertising and entertainment. They aim to synchronize technology with current society, and many works reveal new aspects and offer new insights.

‘Cosmic Elements’

The “Cosmic Elements” exhibition, a fusion of science and art, has carefully curated astronomical photography, astronomy-themed art installations, and various art forms from around the globe, showcasing the works of renowned artists who have participated in the Ars Electronica Festival, and those affiliated with the House of Electronic Arts in Basel and the Academy of Arts in Berlin.

The exhibition aims to captivate every visitor with the grandeur of the cosmos, inviting them to delve into the ultimate romance of the universe while pondering the profound connection between humanity and the cosmos. It is designed to examine astronomical art from three key perspectives, which are complex observation, the nocturnal journey of the human body, and the public awareness of astronomy. These serve as essential frameworks for viewers to comprehend each artwork.
