The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) opened at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao'an District on May 22. Dubbed as the No.1 cultural fair in China, the fair will run until May 26.

This edition of the fair features eight pavilions, including three comprehensive pavilions and five professional pavilions. It is set to showcase more than 120,000 cultural products, and over 4,000 cultural industry investment and financing projects are displayed and traded on-site. The fair has organized a total of 6,280 government delegations, cultural institutions, and enterprises to participate both online and offline. Among them, 3,300 are offline-participating enterprises and 2,980 are online-participating enterprises.

Nanshan District is responsible for the planning, organization, and construction of the Shenzhen exhibition area at this year’s ICIF.

At the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural Industry Innovation Exhibition at Hall 13, the Shenzhen exhibition area curated by Nanshan has drawn significant attention. This exhibition area, featuring four sections — artificial intelligence (AI), digital creativity, cultural tourism, and the runway shows — highlights China’s “culture+technology” advancements in robotics, the low-altitude economy, gaming/esports, anime/micro-dramas, creative design, and fashion. With nearly 80% of the nearly 100 participating Shenzhen enterprises based in Nanshan, the exhibition highlights the district’s leading role in driving cultural and technological innovation.

Additionally, this year’s edition highlights the empowerment of technology, with the first-ever establishment of an AI exhibition area, inviting more than 60 renowned companies in the field of AI to participate. The robots showcased by Nanshan enterprises such as Dobot, Pudu, UBTECH, and Digit have attracted a continuous stream of visitors to experience.

In addition to the main venue at the Bao'an exhibition center, a total of 52 subvenues are set up across the city, including 12 in Nanshan. The Nanshan subvenues include OCT-LOFT, Kexing Science Park, Vanke Design Commune, Zhiheng Cultural and Technological Creative Park, Nantou Ancient Town, Fantawild, China Merchants Shekou Cultural and Creative Area (NH@COOL, Shekou Net Valley), Lixiu Clothing Culture Block, q-plex, Artron Art Center, G·D·C, and Nanshan Animation Valley. Lixiu Clothing Culture Block is a new addition to the list of subvenues this year.
