In a landmark event for the tech industry, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Go-Global Conference made its debut in Nanshan District on April 16, drawing significant attention from business and government leaders. The conference was graced by the presence of Nanshan Party chief Huang Xiangyue, who engaged in a pivotal meeting with Chu Ruisong, vice president of Amazon Global and president of AWS Greater China.

During their discussions, Huang highlighted the robust ecosystem of high-tech enterprises and innovation resources that Nanshan boasts, emphasizing the growing need for local businesses to expand their global footprint. He articulated Nanshan’s commitment to becoming the premier hub for enterprises seeking to “go global,” outlining plans to establish a “go global” alliance for headquarters enterprises. Huang expressed his hope for enhanced collaboration with AWS, leveraging the company’s innovative platform to construct a comprehensive business collaboration ecosystem that would ensure the stable and sustainable international growth of enterprises.

In response, Chu recognized Nanshan’s status as a leading economic and technological hub in China, noting the district’s significant number of “going global” enterprises and competitive edge. He affirmed AWS’s readiness to collaborate with Nanshan in exploring cloud services and AI technology, offering robust support in infrastructure, compliance, and security services to facilitate enterprises’ global ambitions.

A major announcement at the conference was the establishment of the Greater Bay Area AWS Industry Digital Empowerment Center in Nanshan, the sixth of its kind in China and the only one in the Greater Bay Area. This center is designed to offer a range of services, including open application scenarios, industrial ecosystem services, professional talent cultivation, and global resource linkage, with the goal of driving digital intelligence transformation among enterprises. It aspires to set a benchmark for AI and digital technology empowerment in Nanshan and serve as a showcase for AI-driven industrial development.

The conference featured technology exhibitions and forums, providing a platform for “going global” enterprises to discuss global market trends, international expansion strategies, the commercialization of cutting-edge AI technologies, and compliance measures for global operations.
