Li Xiaoning, deputy secretary of the CPC Nanshan District Committee and district mayor of Nanshan District, led a delegation to the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone to conduct research on the joint development of an industrial park and an educational institution on Sept. 12. The visit included attending the inauguration of the Nanshan Intelligent Manufacturing Shenshan High-Tech Industrial Park, touring a collaborative school and the park's enterprises, in a bid to foster further industrial and educational cooperation between the regions.

The Nanshan Intelligent Manufacturing Shenshan High-Tech Industrial Park, situated in the Shenshan Ebu-Xiaomo Advanced Manufacturing Park, is a pioneering venture as the first dual-district cooperative industrial park and one of the initial "industrial building" projects in the city. The park spans an area of 84,900 square meters with a planned construction area of approximately 229,000 square meters, aiming to expand the footprint of high-end manufacturing industries with a focus on cutting-edge fields like advanced intelligent manufacturing and new energy.

During the inauguration ceremony, Li emphasized the innovative nature of this partnership, calling it a vibrant hub for entrepreneurship and a beacon of hope. He vowed that Nanshan would reinforce its collaboration with Shenshan across various domains, including industrial layout, investment attraction, economic growth, public services, and urban development. This partnership aims to expedite the construction of a world-class automotive city in Shenshan and contribute to the high-quality development of both Shenzhen and Guangdong Province.

Following the event, Li and his delegation inspected the production facility of RoboSense, a world-leading provider of LiDAR and perception systems from Nanshan, at the Nanshan Intelligent Manufacturing Shenshan High-Tech Industrial Park, delving into the company's business growth, R&D investment, technological innovation, and production and sales, as well as employee welfare and children's education.

The Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language School (Group) Shenshan West Central School, which opened its doors in September 2020, is the first public nine-year school jointly established by Nanshan District and the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone. Covering an area of 50,012 square meters with a built-up area of 81,300 square meters, the school has commenced 72 teaching classes with 3,588 students. At Shenshan West Central School, Li toured various facilities to assess the school's infrastructure, faculty, and student progress. He listened to the school's report on fostering comprehensive student development and expressed his hope that the school would uphold the educational philosophy of the Nanshan Foreign Language School (Group) — "growing like a tree" — and continue to advance the distinguished traditions of Nanshan education.

Li and the delegation also visited the BYD Shenshan Industrial Park in Xiaomo Town of Shenshan, as part of their research efforts.
