Huang Xiangyue, Secretary of the CPC Nanshan District Committee, spearheaded a delegation for an insightful visit and exchange at Shenzhen Middle School on the morning of July 26.

Upon their arrival, Huang and the delegation toured the school’s history museum, library, cultural wall, engineering technology innovation center, student counseling facility, and the international mathematics data center. 

The visit was aimed at gaining a comprehensive understanding of the school’s historical background, cultural heritage, educational philosophy, success in academic competitions, and teaching accomplishments.

During the symposium that followed, Zhu Huawei, principal of Shenzhen Middle School, engaged in a dialogue with the Nanshan delegation, outlining the journey and strategic initiatives of Shenzhen Middle School in its pursuit of becoming a world-class high school with Chinese characteristics.

Established in 1947, Shenzhen Middle School has paralleled the nation’s progress and the development of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The school is dedicated to cultivating top-tier innovative talent, having extensively ventured into faculty development, curriculum innovation, international education, and science and technology education. It stands as a beacon and cultural emblem of Shenzhen’s educational landscape.

On May 25, 2018, the Nanshan District Government, Shenzhen Middle School, and DJI Public Welfare Foundation sealed an educational partnership, which led to the establishment of the SZMS Nanshan Innovation School, carving a distinctive path in educational development.

Huang highlighted that Shenzhen Middle School, a provincial key high school, is celebrated for its superior educational quality and all-around student growth, with its achievements being widely recognized. 

He said that this visit has left the delegation with a profound impact and imparted valuable insights. Huang expressed hope that Nanshan would draw inspiration from the school’s experiences, adopting effective practices to further advance the high-quality development of education within the district.
