The sunken square at the Nantou Ancient City Station of Shenzhen Metro has been officially opened to the public, incorporating various functions such as pedestrian crossings, leisure entertainment, and shopping options.

In addition, the station has opened three new exits — E1, E2, and E3 — which provide convenient access for commuters to nearby attractions such as the Nanshan Museum, Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center, and Nanshan Library.

The Nantou Ancient City Station serves as an interchange station for Lines 12 and 20. According to Shenzhen Metro, the design of the station's underground space focuses on integrating the station with the city.

By incorporating nearby land and commercial resources, the underground transport function blends seamlessly with the urban lifestyle above ground. This approach aims to enhance the city's above-ground and underground spaces as well as commercial resources.
