A trade delegation from Nanshan District has recently visited Australia and New Zealand to carry out overseas networking and economic and trade cultural exchanges.

The delegation held economic and trade cultural exchange meetings in Perth, Australia, and Christchurch, New Zealand, where nearly 400 people, including government and business association leaders, company representatives, student representatives, and Chinese overseas groups, were invited to attend.

At the promotion event, Nanshan's first-class international business environment and industrial characteristics, especially the significant opportunities in creating "headquarters research and development + high-end manufacturing," attracted global attention.

Government and business representatives at the meeting conveyed their confidence and expectations in promoting bilateral economic development and international cooperation, and reached multiple cooperation intentions or agreements in fields such as smart construction, new energy, technology investment, and agricultural and livestock product procurement, as well as cultural tourism.

Entrepreneur representatives said that the economic and trade exchange meeting not only provided a platform for participating companies to showcase their strength and products but also created more possibilities for cooperation between companies from both regions. 

They hoped to further deepen cooperation in various fields such as scientific and technological innovation, cultural and sports tourism, and promote common prosperity and development between the two regions.

During the visit, the Nanshan delegation visited Chinese consulates, universities, friendly associations, and well-known companies in energy, pharmaceuticals, and digital technology. 

It is worth mentioning that Christchurch, New Zealand, which was visited by the Nanshan delegation, established friendly exchange relation with Shenzhen in April 2015.
