The UK competition of the Innovation Nanshan 2024 Entrepreneurs Star Contest officially started applications on June 16 and will end on June 25. 

The British competition will be held in London, and the projects registered will cover fields such as new-generation information technology, biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new materials.

Applicants for the British competition are required to be overseas high-level entrepreneurial teams or individuals with innovative achievements and business plans. 

Meanwhile, the participants have not registered a business entity in Shenzhen and served as a legal representative or shareholder, and plan to register and establish a company in Shenzhen or cooperate with relevant industries in Shenzhen after the competition.

The UK competition will award one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes. In addition to receiving cash prizes, the winning projects will also enjoy a series of supporting policies including Shenzhen’s entrepreneurship funding, resettlement rewards, preferential entry into entrepreneurship spaces, investment and financing services, industry matchmaking, and post-match services.

The Innovation Nanshan 2024 Entrepreneurs Star Contest has been held for 17 years, attracting more than 20,000 innovative projects to participate. 

According to statistics, Nanshan District has invested a total of 90 million yuan (US$12.38 million) in prize money. The contest’s projects have contributed more than 300 billion yuan to Nansha’s GDP.

According to the organizers, the contest has also begun accepting applications for its new materials industry competition on June 17.
