Nanshan District plans to invest a total of 9.3 billion yuan (US$1.29 billion) in 484 projects this year, according to the Nanshan District Development and Reform Bureau.

The district government’s investment willfocus on four key areas: people’s well-being, urban infrastructure, ecological environment, and industrial innovation.

Nanshan plans to invest 3.768 billion yuan in improving people’s well-beingthis year, accounting for over 40% of the district’s annual total investment.

The district will accelerate the construction of key public cultural and sports facilities, optimize educational resources, increase investment in high-level medical facilities, improve housing security, and ante up investment in public safety projects.

In terms of urban infrastructure, it will accelerate the construction of major projects such as Chuangxin Boulevard, the Nanhai Boulevard (GangwanBoulevard--Dongbin Road) renovation project, and the natural gas pipeline adjustment project in Baishilingarea. It will alsopush forward the preliminary work of 39 municipal projects.

In terms of improving the ecological environment, Nanshan will speed up the construction of projects such as the Around XiliLake Greenway and the second phase of Talent Park.

To boost industrial innovation, the district will continue to provide funding for eight ongoing projects, and allocate special funds for the purchase and construction of industrial housing in 2024.
