The opening ceremony of the Spring Festival Flower Fair in Nanshan District was held in Dutch Flower Town on Feb. 3. 

Huang Xiangyue, secretary of the CPC Nanshan District Committee, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the flower fair.

The opening ceremony featured dragon dances, stilt walker parade, African flower exhibition, and symphony performances.

During the event, Huang visited Dutch Flower Town and other places to learn about the arrangements of the flower fair in Nanshan. Huang stated that for the first time this year, three landmarks in Nanshan, namely Dutch Flower Town, Zhongshan Park, and Nantou Ancient Town, have been connected to create high-quality flower purchasing locations and tourist destinations for citizens and visitors. 

Huang hoped that Nanshan can present a special Spring Festival flower fair, further drive cultural and tourism consumption, and promote high-quality economic development.

The Spring Festival Flower Fair in Nanshan will run until Feb. 9. It includes one main venue (Dutch Flower Town+Zhongshan Park+Nantou Ancient Town), one flower market (Shenzhen-Hong Kong Flower Center in Xili Subdistrict), and 36 flower purchasing points in eight subdistricts.
