The Development and Reform Bureau of Nanshan District has recently issued a notice, announcing the launch of a subsidy program to encourage the development of low-altitude logistics projects in 2024.

The program aims to provide financial support to enterprises engaged in low-altitude logistics within the district, offering a maximum annual subsidy of 10 million yuan (US$1.4 million) per enterprise.

The subsidy is designed to promote the establishment of new low-altitude logistics routes and flights for various purposes, including medical emergencies and distribution services.

To qualify for the subsidy, these routes and flights must either start or end within the district. It is counted as one flight when the starting and ending points are both within Nanshan, while it is counted as half a flight when there is either the starting or ending point is in the district.

Low-altitude logistics projects funded through government procurement services will not be eligible for these subsidies.

Eligible enterprises are invited to submit their applications through the “iNanshan Enterprise Service Comprehensive Platform” website before 6 p.m. on Oct. 16. Once the application materials are submitted, applicants can track the progress of their project application via text message notifications or through the application system.

The introduction of low-altitude logistics projects is seen as a significant business opportunity for logistics companies. Utilizing drones and other low-altitude aircraft for cargo transportation can lead to substantial reductions in delivery time, improved logistics efficiency, and lower operational costs.
